Imam Khomeini explains remembrance of God and His Graces

According to Imam, thankfulness is natural to human beings, and our very nature calls upon us to express gratitude to our benefactors. If we examine the book of our own hearts, we will find this principle inscribed within us. Our sense of respect and gratitude toward a benefactor increases in proportion to the generosity of the benefits we receive, particularly when that generosity is free from selfish motives.
