When the Imam noticed that I was busy with my studies during the holidays, he remarked: “You won’t get anywhere with this attitude because when it is recreation time you should be indulging in pastime and recreation.” He mentions this to my son in earnest. I quote this from the Imam himself that he had repeatedly remarked to my son in my presence that: “I neither set aside one hour of my recreation time for my studies nor one hour of my study time for my recreation.” It means that he would set aside a specific time for a specific task and so he encourages my son to do so as well as otherwise, he would not be able to prepare himself for his studies.
