Foreign guests pay pilgrimage to Imam Rida holy shrine

Hundreds of foreign guests have paid a pilgrimage to holy shrine of Imam Rida (PBUH) in the holy Iranian city of Mashhad.

Nearly 400 foreign guests, attending 27th passing away anniversary of the late founder of the Islamic Republic, travelled in two chartered planes from the Iranian capital Tehran to Mashhad to pay pilgrimage to holy shrine of Imam Ali bin Musa al-Rida (PBUH), one of the infallible successors of the holy prophet of Islam.

This came a day after the guests attended the 27th anniversary of Imam Khomeini in his mausoleum which is located on the southern suburbs of the Iranian capital, Tehran.

Imam Khomeini frequently through his messages said that the Islamic revolution has had deep roots in Imam Hussain (PBUH) historical uprising of Ashura, and stressed on following footsteps of the holy prophet and his infallible successors, including Imam Rida (PBUH).

The late founding leader of the Islamic Republic described Imam Rida (PBUH)‘s holy shrine in Iran as a source of divine bounties and mercies.

Imam Khomeini promoted and revived the real and genuine teachings of Islam in contemporary era. His ideals are becoming increasingly popular in various parts of the world among followers of all divine religions.
