Aqa, listen, Mowlana pays attention to what is being said!

He had remarkable self-control over his carnal soul

When in anger, Imam Khomeini would exercise utmost restraint.

For instance, when he would get angry during a lecture session and wanted to yell (at the student), he would simply utter the word “mowlana” and strike the ground with his hand.

Even though he did get angry, yet he had remarkable self-control over his carnal soul and as a result never uttered a single obscenity.

And in specific cases, he would just say: “Aqa (Sir), listen, Mowlana pays attention to what is being said!”
