The reputed scholar made remarks while addressing a gathering of academics which had gathered to renew their pledge with ideals of Imam Khomeini. The ceremony was held ahead of Imam Khomeini’s 36th passing anniversary.
Addressing the ceremony, Seyyed Hassan Khomeini defended the ongoing negations on the nuclear issue, saying talks were taking place in accordance with the leader's guidance and under his Eminence’s supervision.
“National and Islamic interests have different requirements in different situations; sometimes you accomplish by war, while in other situation through negations,” Seyyed Hassan Khomeini said.
But the grandson of the late founder of Islamic Republic went onto say that the "dignity" must be observed in every situation and all circumstances.
Dignity is very important and significant but it does not mean not negotiating or not having relations with others.
“The source of satisfaction is that the ongoing developments and negations are being watched and supervised by the leader of the Islamic Revolution.”
Elsewhere in his remarks, Seyyed Hassan Khomeini underlined why dignity must be protected becuse it has been the greatest achievement of the revolution, he said.
“Today, the sources of comfort is that the leader of the Revolution is sensitively watching the ongoing developments and issues regarding negotiations and nuclear issue.”
