Understanding Imam Khomeini becomes distorted when each group, according to its own needs and preferences, highlights only one aspect of his thought while ignoring the others.
Imam Khomeini cannot be presented solely as a jurist, mystic, philosopher, or politician.
The comprehensiveness of the Imam lies precisely in the connection between these dimensions.
Therefore, selectively extracting parts of his thought can create an incomplete and unrealistic picture of the Imam’s school of thought.
“A caricatured view of the Imam means that, according to the needs, preferences, and interests of the day, we highlight and magnify one part of the Imam’s thought while minimizing or abandoning another. The Imam’s school of thought is an ‘integrative’ school, not a compartmentalized one.”
