In the conduct and teachings of Imam Khomeini, care for the people can be seen in his attention to those who are less visible and less heard. This perspective places public responsibility on protecting human dignity and reducing social inequalities. If Imam Khomeini’s people-centered ideas are to remain relevant to today’s social issues, disadvantaged and vulnerable groups must be brought from the margins of attention to the center of social concerns and decision-making.
