Imam Khomeini the great leader of Muslim world introduced a form of Islamic government in which people are back-bone and pillar of the system.
According to the great Imam, reliance on people and public participation functions as a guarantee for survival of any political system. Imam always remained committed to this element throughout his life and constantly reflected his concern to officials and people
Highlighting the role of people and public participation the great leader and Muslim scholar noted that people should be the focal point of any administration.
Imam used to advise officials and authorities instead of creating tension and dealing with insignificant internal affairs they must render services to people and solve their problems. He also warned them pillars of the state would easily collapse if they are not backed up by nation.
Considering Imam's directions and instructions to officials about the significance of Islamic-democratic governance we easily come to the conclusion that Imam has underscored people as an inseparable part of the system and made serious efforts to actualize his theory by establishing Islamic Republic of Iran.
